For three years we have been planning a trip to Hawaii with my best friend Terrie and her husband to help them celebrate 30 years of marriage.  We are now 36 hours away from leaving town and "checking out" of reality for 2 whole weeks!  I'm beyond tired and beyond excited because neither me or my husband Jim have ever been to Hawaii before.

We plan on spending the first week in Honolulu and the second week in Princeville, Kauai.  I keep pinching myself but it is really happening!!

One more day of work and then we take off on Saturday to meet up with Kent and Terrie who are spending this week in Maui.  They are celebrating 30 years with 3 weeks.  I think 10% is biblical somehow.

I'm inviting you on this journey with us.  I always journal my trips but this time I am doing it 21st Century style with a blog...should be fun and full of laughs.

So...keep up with us as we forge a path into the unknown (for us anyway) and experience the islands, the food, the beauty, the water (hopefully no sharks) and the amazing time with us.
